It is normal to feel stressed or worried, and feel like you're getting cold feet! Rather than let the stress take over, take the time to do a few things to help you get ready and relaxed for the big day. Here are our 5 top things to do before you walk down the aisle.
- Party With Your Friends
Hen parties are a must-do before you walk down the aisle. Whether you are planning your own bachelorette party or your Maid of Honour has taken charge, you need to have one last hurrah with your friends. Go the extra mile with accessories such as bridal sashes, daring activities such as bar hopping, or even a luxury weekend getaways.
- Buy Your Bridesmaids Thank-You Gifts
Speaking of bridesmaids, they have done a lot for you since you got engaged. They have been there for you every step of the way, and you are grateful. You can show your gratitude by buying them a special gift. Bridesmaid boxes are one way to go, or you could go for personalised items such as silk pyjamas or jewellery.
- Get Something Old, New, Borrowed And Blue
It is an old tradition but still a fun way to take the edge off before the wedding. Find your something old such as a piece of jewellery from your mom, something new to accessorise your wedding dress such as a custom bridal jacket, something borrowed from a close friend or family member, and finally something blue such as flowers for your bouquet.
- Write And Recite Your Vows
If you are writing your own vows, then take the time to figure out what you really want to say. Do not wait until the last minute to figure out what you want to say. Write down your vows, recite them and edit.
If all else fails, meditation may help. Light your favourite scented candle and meditate at least once a day during the days leading up to the wedding.
